Hi there. I’m Rosemary.

(she/they) I’m a full spectrum reproductive health & sexuality educator and certified fertility awareness educator, with a background in anthropology, birth and lactation support, nature education, and permaculture. I am deeply rooted in the Cascadian bioregion (Pacific Northwest of the so-called United States), though I am a settler on this land, currently calling Kalapuya Ilihi and the Willamette River watershed in western Oregon home.

My work circumnavigates and intersects with many aspects of gender, sexuality and reproduction, and has shifted over the years. My current focus is on:

sympto-thermal cycle charting & fertility awareness education for anyone with the capacity to cycle who wants to exercise reproductive autonomy, increase body literacy, address hormonal questions, effectively avoid pregnancy or achieve pregnancy

☽ providing information & support around all forms of contraception, emergency contraception & pregnancy termination

☽ supporting & educating parents of trans, nonbinary & gender-expansive kids & teens

☽ puberty & sexuality education centering trans and nonbinary experiences

As a queer parent of gender-expansive kids, I love to work with people and families of all kinds, and I am affirming of queer, trans, nonbinary, gender-expansive, and polyamorous/non-monogamous folks, as well as knowledgeable about intersex issues. I strongly believe that gender and sexual diversity are normal parts of natural human diversity, and we need to make sure our laws and social institutions, as well as popular culture and common understanding, come to reflect this.

I have been practicing fertility awareness myself since 2008, teaching/consulting since 2013 (as a certified FAE since 2018), and am active in the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals, an international organization representing secular, pro-choice, inclusive training programs and educators demonstrating a high level of scientific literacy and a dedication to uplifting reproductive justice work.

I support anti-racism and social justice work in my field and in my local community, and I strive to dismantle systems of capitalism, patriarchy & white supremacy through involvement in and support of organizations doing this work, through offering a reparations-based discount rate on my services, and through continually shifting my approach and perspective as I listen and learn. I am actively learning how to be more accessible to disabled folks as well.
